Saverio Pesapane graduated in Architecture in 2006. His degree thesis “Lost Highway” is a documentary on the highway system built between Naples and Caserta with the funds allocated by  the reconstruction law after the 1981 earthquake.

In 2008 he wrote A Water Tale, a short film included in "Stories on Human Rights", a film made up of 22 short films commissioned by the United Nations for the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In the same year he wrote Aral Citytellers, produced by Art for the World, a documentary shot in Kazakhstan, on the Aral Sea.

In 2009 he wrote Dubai Citytellers, produced by Unicredit & Art, a documentary shot in Dubai on neo-slavism.

Between 2011 and 2012 he wrote and directed It's countryside, a documentary shot in the Nile Valley and Cairo, Egypt, produced by the Rotterdam Architecture Biennale.

In 2013 he won the Solinas Award - Stories for cinema, with Una Buona Ragione.

In 2018 he wrote and produced Yousef, a short film selected at the 2018 Venice Film Festival and winner of the best editing award in the Migrarti category, in competition at the Clermont-Ferrand 2019 International Short Film Festival and selected in the five finalists for the David di Donatello 2019 award.

Since 2017 he is a partner of Premiere Film, a film production and distribution company, which in 2019 was in charge of the executive production of The Nest, a feature film produced by Colorado Film in collaboration with Vision Distribution.

He teaches at NABA, New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.

Originally from Parma, after a degree in Literature and a master's degree in Journalism, she first worked in Paris and then in Rome. After many years collaborating with La Stampa, L’espresso, Il Secolo XIX, she became a parliamentary journalist and followed some of the most important political events, from the Italian elections to the French presidential elections. Since 2007 she has been at La Stampa and, for five years of great fun, she has been part of the cast of Gazebo first and Propaganda Live after.

Director

Born in Rome the 8th of November 1969, she debuts as documentarian in 2004 with I nostri 30 anni: generazioni a confronto, a trip into Italian cinema to tell our and their thirty years.

In 2005 she presented Ritorni at Rome Cinema Fest, the story of three successful North Africans (included Tahar Bel Jelloun) that made it. In 2011 she gets the Premio della Critica at Nastri d’Argento and the Premio Speciale from the jury at Festival d’Annecy with Fughe e approdi (distributed by Cinecittà Luce), a trip to the Eolis islands on the red sail tartan that saw her, as a child, as the main character in Kaos by P. and V. Taviani in 2013. Collaborating with LIBERA – “Associazioni, nomi e numeri contro le mafie”, she covered the theme of Italian prisons through the docu-short Il Riscatto, the story about Salvatore Striano and his redemption through Shakespiere. She’s currently working on the new documentary Cuntami, Sicilia! about the young Sicilian storytellers, produced by Amedeo Bacigalupo in collaboration with Angelo Barbagallo. In 2007 she founded the SalinaDocFest – Festival internazionale del documentario narrativo, that takes place in Salina, in the Eolis Islands, and is part of the calendar of Big Events of Sicily’s Region (www.salinadocfest.it ).

He started in Naples on the editorial board of l'Unita', back in 1976. In 1983 he was called in Rome by Emanuele Macaluso, who was director of the PCI's newspaper back then. in 1990 he moves to Repubblica, where he became head of the political editorial board, to then move again - seven years later- to Palermo to lead the newborn Sicilian edition. At the end of 1999 he was called by La Stampa to become vice director and head of the editorial board in Rome. Nowadays he's still one of the columnist of the newspaper.

Elena Lai

General Secretary of CEPI

She is general secretary of CEPI, the largest European audio-visual production network which represent the interest of independent producers (film/tv) from 18 national trade associations, based in Brussels. Here Elena is also responsible of Europe Analytica, a consulting company which specialise in culture and creative industries since 1990. From 2019 Elena is also President of the Advisory Committee at the European Observatory for the audio-visual media, and member of the Pre-Selection Committee at Monte Carlo's TV Festival. On her role she manages the relations with the various Directorates of the Commission and with the members of the European Parliament, monitoring their activities and consultation directed to the trade associations that deal with movies, TV and animation.

Born in Parma, Alessandro is a photographer, journalist and founding member of the Parallelozero photo agency.

In 2020 he won the first prize in the Still Life category at the Sony World Photography Awards with the Immortality, Inc. project, and first prize in the Environment Story category with the Gas Chamber Delhi reportage at the Best of Photojournalism Awards, edited by the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association). In 2020 he was also a finalist for the Aftermath Project grant with the Syrians in Limbo reportage. In 2016 his reportage on the post-Ebola situation in Sierra Leone received the PDN Photo Annual 2016 in the Documentary / Photojournalism category and an honorable mention at the MIFA (Moscow International Foto Awards). In 2017 he was among the finalists of the Ponchielli prize with the Standouts & Poors reportage. His reports for National Geographic Italy have received the National Geographic's Best Edit Award five times (2010, 2011, 2017, 2018, 2020).

His works appeared in numerous and prestigious publications, as well as having been exhibited in various personal and collective exhibitions.

He is a well-known and important Italian journalist and writer. War correspondent on the hottest fronts, from Balkans to the Middle East, from Somalia to Afghanistan, from Soviet Union to Falklands. He’s one of the most known faces on Italian TV, having been for many years on the weekly broadcast Terra! on Canale 5. He still collaborates with Mediaset nowadays.

After a degree in Modern Literature, he studied at the RAI School of Film and Television, then graduated from the N.U.C.T at Cinecittà Studios.

As well as two feature films, he has also written and directed short films, documentaries and commercials.

His short film The Referee won the David di Donatello and the Special Jury Prize at Clermont-Ferrand.

His feature film The Referee opened the Venice Days section of the 70th Venice Film Festival.

His second feature The Man who Bought the Moon premiered in Busan and at the Rome Film Fest.

Born in 1972 in Cagliari, Paolo lives between Sardinia and Rome.

#MSFF is an international festival of short films with a social theme, this year #aGreeenHope will talk about the complex theme of climate change, always with the right amount of irony. Round tables, Speed Pitch, a network of professionals to meet and a place of exchange where to get exposed: these are the main ingredients of the Murmat Short Film Festival that will be held at the Globe Theater in Rome, Monday 7 September this year.

Singer

One of the most representative voices of the Sardinian scene, Claudia is an art critic, a singer, a columnist, an interpreter and a singing teacher, who puts all her experiences, made of travels around the world, study and training courses, in its warm, sparkling, expressive and engaging voice. On stage, Claudia takes you by the hand to make you experience the beauty of Sardinian culture, singing it, telling it in its most thorny, ironic and fascinating aspects, showing an authentic love for her homeland.

In winter 2020, she collaborated with UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) for a project of psychosocial support through music with refugees rescued from Libya and hosted in the reception camps in Niger.

She has worked with Rossella Faa, Elena Ledda, Joe Perrino, Sa Ratza, Tamurita, Varijashree Venugopal (one of the most appreciated Indian voices in the world, who has collaborated with Victor Wooten, Snarky puppy and Bobby Mecferrin).

She obtained a master's degree of improvement with the great American vocal coach Cheryl Porter and was included among her "illustrious students".

She participated in the main music programs in Sardinia and on Sky Arte for the "On the Road" program, she was interviewed and her music was broadcast on Radio Rai Sardegna, Radio 3 and Radio 2.

He has collaborated with several records in Italy and has released 4 solo records.

Lisa Camillo

Director

Lisa Camillo is an Italian-Australian passionate human rights driven filmmaker, anthropologist, presenter and writer.
She has directed, produced and wrote award-winning documentaries and films that travelled across the world in several international film festivals. Following her Master in International Development, she had a rich experience in Aboriginal communities, which gave her an invaluable experience and knowledge of Aboriginal culture and strong connections with Indigenous communities. 
She's a published author of a book, Una Ferita Italiana (An Italian Wound), based on her feature documentary, Balentes - The Brave Ones, which came out in Australian and US cinemas and several international Film Festivals. In April 2019 she was invited to speak at the Italian Parliament House to discuss with the Ministry of Defence and Health some of the issues that were raised in her documentary in order to better her island's critical situation.
In January 2020, Lisa received the title of honorary member from the A.N.V.U.I. - National Association of Victims of Depleted Uranium, for her fight against NATO with her film and book. 
In 2020 she was commissioned by the international channel, Aljazeera, a 25 minutes documentary on a Covid-19 story in Milan, Italy.

Enviromental Hiking Guide

Lino Cianciotto is an environmental hiking guide who works in Sardinia in the organization of "active holidays" particularly in the south west of the island.
Professional photographer, he works with agencies, publishing houses, magazines on local and national diffusion.
Specialized in integrated local development and eco-sustainable tourism, in the design and implementation of plans and projects and in the transfer of know-how.
Author, among various works, of the Guides “La Costa delle miniere” (2016), "Iglesiente selvaggio” (2017), “Sardegna sud ovest” (2018) e “Il Fluminese” (2019), “La Costa delle miniere plus” (2020) published with Edizioni Enrico Spanu.
A nature lover, he has practiced caving, sport climbing, canoeing, but also trekking and mountain biking: activities that he still pursues nowadays.
In 2013, he suffered an accident that saw him forced to have his right leg amputated.
This didn’t stop him from continuing his work and practicing the usual sports.
Athlete, promoter and co-organizer of the “24 hours walk in the coast of mines”: 62 km in south-west Sardinia (editions 2017 - 2018 and 2019).
In May 2020 planned and traveled by kayak the "Tuna route": 300 km of navigation in 8 days along Sardinia’s west coast, between Stintino and Carloforte.
Among other things, he participated in the Vertical Punta Martin for amputees in Liguria (November 2018); at TOT DRET, a relay race with 4 other athletes with motor disabilities
130 km long and 12,000 meters D + (September 2018 and 2019 in Val d’Aosta), he was the only competitor from Sardinia.
In June 2019 he participated in an excursion to Monte Rosa with 7 other amputees athletes, on the occasion of the Sky Marathon.
